The UNFPA Data and Analytics Branch is convening the Population Intelligence Hackathon (PopIntel Hack), a multi-partner innovation initiative that brings together data scientists, geospatial analysts, demographers, and developers to co-create data-driven solutions for population and development challenges. The hackathon runs across three thematic tracks and engages 36 participants, 12 mentors, and six partner organizations, including UNFPA, WHO AFRO, WorldPop, Google/PDI, Esri, and IDinsight. Following the launch and closure of registration, the hackathon now enters its implementation phase, which includes mentorship sessions, technical webinars, milestone check-ins, submission and evaluation of solutions, and final presentations and awards. Delivering these activities on schedule requires sustained coordination across participants, mentors, partners, and the organizing team. To support this phase, the UNFPA Data and Analytics Branch is seeking an Online Volunteer with strong project management and communication skills to serve as Project Manager for the hackathon from 1 August to 31 October 2026.
