Contract

This is a UNV contract. More about UNV contracts.

The Learning Passport is UNICEF’s flagship digital learning platform, designed to support children, young people, teachers, and communities with access to quality learning content, including in low-connectivity and offline contexts. As the platform continues to evolve, UNICEF is strengthening its product to ensure that country needs, user feedback, and operational realities are translated into clear technical requirements.

This assignment will support the Learning Passport in documenting how the platform currently functions and identifying clear user stories, proposed behaviours, and acceptance criteria. The work will contribute to building a more stable, user-centred, and strengthened platform that can better support implementation across countries.

We are seeking 3 Online Volunteers to support the Learning Passport in developing and refining user stories for the platform.

The volunteers will document platform functionality in a structured format, including the background or problem statement, user story, proposed behaviour, and acceptance criteria. This will support the team in translating platform needs into clear, actionable requirements for technical partners and developers.

Under the guidance of the Learning Passport team, the volunteers will review existing platform functionality, feature requests, and related documentation to help define how specific features currently work and how they should behave in the future.

Specific Tasks: - Document the current platform behaviour in clear and simple language. - Draft user stories using the format: “As a [user], I want [functionality], so that [benefit/outcome].” - Develop background or problem statements that explain the need, challenge, or user impact. - Define proposed behaviour for how the functionality should work. - Draft acceptance criteria that clearly describe the expected outcome and conditions for completion.

Expected Deliverables: Each volunteer will contribute to a set of completed user stories, including: - Background / problem statement - User story - Current platform behaviour, where relevant - Proposed behaviour - Acceptance criteria - Any supporting notes or questions for the Learning Passport team
