Support the development of new migration health projects

The volunteer will work within the Migration Health Division in the International Organization for Migration - Egypt, and will work under the direct supervision of the health project officer and overall supervision of the medical programme coordinator. Migration Health Division is responsible for the health promotion and assistance to migrants in Egypt through development and implementation of migration health projects that include health assistance, health promotion and awareness, capacity building, humanitarian support and research.

The volunteer will support the development of new migration health projects through working directly with the health project officer and health project assistants. By the end of the assignement, the volunteer is expected to contribute to the development of 3 new concept notes and 3 new proposals where the volunteer will support the research work, data collection and drafting the documents based on the guidance of the health project officer who is responsible for the full development of new proposals and cocept notes.

1. Medical / Public Health background.
2. Previous experience with public health projects and activities.
3. Previous experience with drafting concept notes and projects proposals.
4. Knowledge of migration context in Egypt is an advantage.
5. Knowledge of climate change and its linkage with migration is an advantage.

Professionalism, teamwork, delivery results, communication, and experience in supporting health related activities including risk communication and community engagement.
