You have:
- Currently enrolled in, or recently graduated from, a graduate programme (master’s degree or equivalent) in a field relevant to UNESCO’s mandate.
- Academic background in Education, Culture, Natural Sciences, Social and Human Sciences, Communication and Information, International Relations, Development Studies, Public Administration, Management, Law, Human Resources, or other related disciplines.
- Demonstrated academic achievement and commitment to learning, supported by recent academic records, certificates, or other relevant documentation.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage information and documentation effectively.
- Excellent written communication skills and proficiency in standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace) are desirable.

The UNESCO Pakistan Education Sector implements a wide range of programmes in support of equitable, inclusive, quality, and climate-resilient education, including policy development, sector coordination, girls’ education, teacher development, education data systems, youth engagement, and education in emergencies. The Education Sector also works closely with the Communication and Information function to enhance programme visibility, stakeholder engagement, knowledge management, and advocacy.
To support these efforts, UNESCO Pakistan seeks an Online Volunteer to assist with programme documentation, information organization, knowledge management, and communication-related activities. Through this assignment, the volunteer will contribute to maintaining organized programme records, supporting reporting processes, and developing knowledge and visibility products that highlight programme achievements.
This assignment offers an opportunity to gain practical experience in programme management, knowledge management, communication, reporting, and the operations of a United Nations agency while contributing to UNESCO's education mandate in Pakistan.
Under the guidance of the focal point, the Online Volunteer will:
- Support the organization, formatting, and consolidation of programme documentation, including reports, meeting records, concept notes, and progress updates.
- Assist in maintaining structured digital filing systems to improve accessibility and retrieval of programme information.
- Support the updating of programme trackers and information management tools under staff guidance.
- Contribute to the consolidation of programme information and data for reporting and knowledge-sharing purposes.
- Contribute to the preparation of 1–2 knowledge and visibility products during the assignment, which may include programme briefs, newsletters, web stories, social media content, case studies, success stories, or other communication materials aligned with UNESCO's mandate.
The Online Volunteer may be asked to join occasional virtual meetings.
