We are looking for a group of online volunteers to support a pilot SenseMaker® project - micronarratives study on waste management in Ukraine. The objective of the study is to learn behavioural patterns, attitudes and actions related to current waste management practices in Ukraine through the direct personal experiences expressed as stories. The assignment envisages support with outreach to engage a maximum number of respondents for the study. Communication with the project team will be done via a combination of email exchange and Skype/Zoom calls. The work is expected to take place in September 2020. The Project will provide all the needed support including a skype induction meeting for orientation about the task and expectations, as well as a briefing on micronarratives.

    The work of UNDP project "Plastic waste management at the local level" aligns with the circular economy principles and aims at the increased plastic avoidance, recycling, reuse and secondary use of materials via the creation of the sustainable consumption and disposal habits among consumers, responsible plastic management practices among companies and awareness of small and medium enterprises (SME) about the business model of plastics recycling and reuse. Long-term benefits include air and water quality protection, litter reduction, resource conservation, improved public health and climate change mitigation. The volunteers will contribute to the overall results of the project and accelerate the development results. The online volunteers will be fully credited for their collaboration and a certificate of satisfaction will be issued at the end of the collaboration.

  • 1-5 hours per week / 4 weeks

    Candidates should be native in Ukrainian/Russian. Experience of data collection and research is an advantage. Guidance will be provided on the data collection instrument (SenseMaker® - Cognitive Edge).
