IPC-IG is looking for a French and Arabic speaker online volunteer with experience in the Near East and North Africa (NENA) region to support with online research on social protection. More specifically, in collaboration with IPC-IG researchers, the selected candidate will support (i) data collection about social protection programmes in NENA countries; and (ii) review literature about social insurance and agricultural development. Knowledge management, archiving and documentation
The IPC-IG is a result of an agreement between the United Nations Development Programme and the Brazilian Government to facilitate South-South Cooperation on key development issues. Its mandate is to promote the production and dissemination of studies and policy recommendations, the exchange of best practices in development initiatives and the expansion of South-South cooperation. Online volunteers will work remotely, mostly at a time and location of their convenience, and subjected to the deadlines set. They will receive a certificate of appreciation and can be acknowledged in the final publication of documents, as feasible.
Volunteers: 1 needed
20+ hours per week / 6 weeks
Mandatory: fluency in French and Arabic. Academic or professional experience in research. Good writing skills. Highly desirable: knowledge about social protection systems and agricultural development. Background on social sciences, political science, statistics, economics, development studies, and related fields. Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills.
