Overview

You have:

  • Fluency in English - mandatory.
  • Independent internet and laptop access – mandatory.
  • Good Spanish language comprehension - considered a strong asset.
  • Experience in research - highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of social protection - highly desirable.
  • Background on social sciences, political science, development studies and/or social protection – highly desirable.
  • Candidates who hold a master's degree, or are pursuing one, will be given preference.

IPC-IG is looking for online volunteers to provide support with research on social protection responses to the COVID-19 crisis in Latin America and the Caribbean. More specifically, in collaboration with IPC-IG’s researchers and other volunteers, the selected candidates will: (i) search for official documents, studies and/or other relevant sources and (ii) fill in an online database.

    The IPC-IG is a joint project of the United Nations Development Programme and the Brazilian Government to facilitate South-South Cooperation on key development issues. Its mandate is to promote the production and dissemination of studies and policy recommendations, the exchange of best practices in development initiatives and the expansion of South-South cooperation. Online volunteers will work remotely, mostly at a time and location of their convenience, and subjected to the deadlines set. They will receive a certificate of appreciation and can be acknowledged in the final publication of document as feasible.

  • 11-20 hours per week / 8 weeks
