IOM Sudan’s Humanitarian Response and Transition (HRT) programme supports local populations to prevent and address crises and progress towards solutions for recovery and resilience as it relates to displacement and other internal or transnational mobility dimensions of crises. The programme combines integrated and multi-sectoral emergency assistance with medium- to longer-term initiatives that support communities, mobile and vulnerable populations to promote stability, build peace and resilience, progress towards solutions and to prevent and manage the drivers and effects of natural hazards, environmental degradation, instability, violence and conflict. Within this context, IOM is seeking to recruit an intern who will assist the HRT programmme’s information and knowledge management activities. The successful candidate will work under the overall supervision of the Head of Programmes and the direct supervision of the Programme Coordinator (Humanitarian and Transition).

1/ Strengthen information management within the thematic area, with a focus on maintaining and updating the programme’s online information management portal/Team Site; a) collect and upload key resources, including studies, tools, presentations, M&E reports, photos and videos; b) recommend and implement technical improvements of the site as needed;

• Prior work or volunteer experience in a relevant subject; • Demonstrated expertise or thematic interest in the areas of humanitarian assistance, transition and recovery in fragile states or crisis situations and/or migration; • Computer literacy, especially database tools; • Strong organizational skills; • Proven ability to produce quality work accurately and concisely according to set deadlines; • Practical experience of how to multi-task, prioritize and work independently;
