We seek support for our organization’s fundraising Grants campaign. The overall objective is to help us ensure our organization’s finances are sustainable and necessary funds are available to support our projects. To this end, we are looking for an experienced volunteer who will become part of our Grants campaign and supervise a team of online volunteers to help us form sustainable relationships with local, state, federal and private foundations funding sources. The volunteer will review grant proposals and applications for completeness and accuracy. The volunteer will also develop a grants administration work plan which includes goals, objectives and measurable workload indicators for the grants function. Please note that the online volunteers will not reach out to donors directly.

    Save the Water™ is a U.S.-based nonprofit organization whose mission is to conduct scientific water research to identify and remove harmful contaminants in water and to raise public awareness about water contamination and its health impacts. Our vision is "Contamination free, healthy water for all". We seek an experienced volunteer to provide utmost support and assistance to the Development (Fundraising) Director and be a part of the Grants Program. You will design, prepare and implement grant applications as well as research and compile information on grant prospects. As a part of managing the grants funding portfolio, the volunteer will conduct research into prospects for new funding opportunities and maintains records and tracking of grant deliverables including all grant application processes from the point of cultivation to proposal submission

  • 6-10 hours per week / 24 weeks

    Must be willing to attend virtual meetings in EST Timezone and be responsive to emails within 36 hours. Bachelor’s degree required with at least 3 years of progressive successful management experience in fundraising, sales, marketing or business development. Experience in securing major private and/or governmental grants, soliciting donations, creating successful marketing materials and excellent writing skills are required. Candidates resident in North America and Canada preferred.
