Support for the project management of CT-PVE Training

We are looking for [1] online volunteer to support our project manager with the coordination and finalization of the UNOCT-UNCCT project of Counter Terrorism -Prevention of Violent Extremism Training. The online volunteer will perform the following tasks: • Collecting and sharing the CT-PVE material to be included in the training programme; • Participating in weekly MS Teams meetings, with UNSSC officers, to coordinate CT-PVE Training content. The measurable outcome of the task will be the deployment of finalized training programme to the UNOCT training platform.

Through the UN GCTS certified counter-terrorism project, UNOCT-UNCCT will build the required capacity of UN staff to be able to articulate the UN CT architecture and structure and relate it to their work including international CT and PVE norms and principles, as well as to apply the relevant international legal instruments, frameworks and related human rights standards. The curriculum design and subsequent delivery will require close collaboration with expertise drawn specifically from OHCHR and UN Women’s global programme on preventing violent extremism to ensure gender-sensitive approaches to preventing and countering terrorism. UNESCO’s experience with its integrated, inter-sectoral approach in addressing the challenges faced by young people in relation to violent extremism. The project will promote the implementation of the UN GCTS in an “all-of-United Nations approach” while concurrently enhancing the visibility of UNOCT’s and its Centre of Excellence UNCCT within the UN system.

Candidates should have previous experience in project management and coordination to implement and execute across multiple workstreams.
