The European Union (EU) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) are in partnership to promote the Business and Human Rights agenda, through a project titled “UNDP Business and Human Rights in Asia Project.”

B+HR (Business and Human Rights) Global is aligned with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the achievement of the SDGs. In particular, it will contribute specifically to Elimination of Poverty (SDG 1); to Gender Equality and Empowerment (SDG 5); Decent Work and Economic Growth (SDG 8); to Reducing Inequalities (SDG 10); to greater levels of Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions (SDG 16), and to; the Revitalization of the Global Partnerships for Sustainable Development (SDG 17).

Since 2020, the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (MoLHR) and UNDP Indonesia have concentrated efforts on the development of the National Business and Human Rights Strategy, which has now been signed by the President of the Republic of Indonesia into a Presidential Decree. To promote the role of each stakeholder in the business and human rights ecosystem in Indonesia and raise awareness of this Presidential Decree and the National Business and Human Rights Strategy, MoLHR, and UNDP Indonesia are organizing an official launch for the Presidential Decree in Jakarta, and to serve as the milestone for the business and human rights landscape in Indonesia.

The Online Volunteer will support the launch event in terms of key visual and communications material, enhancing the visibility of the event through attractive and engaging designs, thus raising awareness of business and human rights and contributing towards the achievement of SDG 16 in promoting peaceful and inclusive societies, providing access to justice for all and building effective, accountable and inclusive institutions at all levels.

We are looking for one Online Volunteer who under the guidance of UNDP Indonesia Business and Human Rights Specialist and in close collaboration with the communications team in UNDP Indonesia to support us by producing a key visual for the Official Launch of National Business and Human Rights Strategy in Indonesia. In particular, the Online Volunteer is asked to: - Collect information on document/material background such as target audience, design style, branding guidelines etc.; - Create a draft key visual design based on requirements and discuss with focal point/ communications team; - Develop the design further according to feedback and agreed requirements.

The design/layout should follow UNDP corporate design guidelines and the project’s visual language which will be shared with the Online Volunteers in advance.

Candidates should have professional experience in graphic design with previous experience in designing communication and outreach materials for an event, and must have in-depth knowledge of graphic design applications, as well as good verbal and written communication skills.

A degree in graphic design or related field, as well as experience in handling communications for a national- or regional-scale government event is considered an asset.
