World Vision West Africa Regional Office is looking for a dynamic, committed and fast-learning intern for its Supply Chain Department for a period of 6months.

Under the supervision and support of the Supply Chain Specialist , the intern will learn and support the department in the following tasks:

KEYS RESPONSABLITIES

Business Requirements 20%

Understand the various department's business requirements and support with the Raising of PRs in COUPA with full documentation .

Sourcing 20%

  • Support the Regional Supply Chain Specialist with the RFQ/RFP Processes, Price survey for some assigned categories.
  • Support with Identifying alternative supply sources for materials / services not under contract
  • Work with Logistics to ensure safe delivery and receipt of ordered materials
  • Support with Resolving conflicts with deliveries and suppliers

Procurement Execution 20%

  • Support with Day to Day procurement operations, in compliance to Procurement Policies and Procedures in supplier Award decision under the applicable threshold before POs are generated
  • Support with Consolidation of all required documentation for presentation to Finance for timely supplier payment for materials and services delivered.
  • Support with Consolidation customer feedback relating to goods and services delivered by vendors and report feedback to service providers for improvements of services or change
  • Support with Maintaining proper Procurement filing and record keeping in COUPA per the guidelines set by the Procurement Policy

Support with Monthly Procurement Report writing 15%

Administration Support- 25 %

  • Support with Regional Supply Chain work for the Nine Countries

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Prior experience with Supply Chain work would be an asset;

• Proven ability to manage diverse and complex tasks, with tight deadlines;

• Able to work effectively in a team and in an international environment;

• Supply Chain competencies and Skills

• Excellent written and communication skills;

• Proficiency in using standard software programs: Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook

Language skills

Strong writing and speaking abilities in French; fluency in English is as added advantage.
