Contract
This is a UNV National Expert contract. This kind of contract is known as National UN Volunteer. It is normally only for nationals. More about UNV National Expert contracts.
The incumbent will support the overall supply-related activities for the Health and Nutrition Sections at the Country Office level. Reporting to the Health Specialist HSS and with matrix management to the Nutrition Specialist (Emergencies), the Health and Nutrition Supplies and Logistics UNV will aid both sections in managing supplies. This includes raising Sales Orders for SCOPe Of Work local and offshore supplies, ensuring proper tracking with relevant stakeholders, and coordinating the effective distribution of supplies to the field with the Logistics team.
The UNV will be responsible for the following:
-Supply Chain Service Delivery and Response
-Planning. In consultation with the supervisor, participate in forecasting, planning, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating supply chain operations for the Health and Nutrition commodities.
Assist in the preparation of Annual Work Planning and other required documents for, in close collaboration with the Supply team Support Health and Nutrition in supply emergency preparedness and response activities, including updating the Contingency Plan and repositioning stock.
-Procurement and Tracking of Supplies: Raise Sales Orders for both local and offshore emergency health and nutrition supplies, with attachment of Provincial Cost Centres and in consultation with program
Ensure proper documentation, including, supply plan, request letter, Distribution Plans and End User Certificates, from relevant stakeholders is included in the Sales Order.
After Sales Orders are raised, follow up with the Supply team to ensure timely creation of Purchase Orders, that include maintaining a tracking sheet to monitor the status of Sales Orders ensuring all the documents/certificates required from SD are included in SQ and follow up with the Supply/Logistics team to keep the tracking sheet updated, tracking of RUT F with the supply colleagues and monitoring sheets from supplies.
Once supplies are received in the warehouse, create Release Orders based on distribution plans in a timely manner in coordination with Fos and CO. Ensure that approved Release Orders are promptly shared with the Logistics team for execution Maintain follow-up on the status of dispatches and ensure proper records are kept, including signed copies of Release Orders and Proof of Delivery (POD).
Conduct programme monitoring in UNICEF focus districts for distributed supplies and inform team members about the status.
Monitor and track the efficient distribution of supplies necessary for effective programme delivery.
Support the supervisor by reporting on health and nutrition supplies ordered and distributed in the field.
Monitor, report and follow up utilization of Health and Nutrition commodities.
Recording and reporting on the end user monitoring data on the monthly basis Work with the information Management Officers at Islamabad and Provincial levels to assess and monitor efficiency of the Health and Nutrition commodities against the beneficiaries/peoples reached.
Identify and mitigate risks in the supply chain.
-Inventory Management Maintain a database of partner consignee numbers and provincial implementing partner numbers
-Coordinate with the Procurement Officer at the Ministry of Health for supply-related activities, including End User Certificates (EUC) and Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) documentation.
-Prepare and distribute weekly stock reports to emergency focal points.
-Monitor inventory trends and track inventory status from source to beneficiary.
-Update the emergency supply plan and follow up on health and nutrition sales orders.
-Coordinate with provincial supply associates/focal points to manage health and nutrition warehousing and stock requirements.
-Manage the contingency stock by replenishing the stock best before use.
-Work closely with health and nutrition program on the aging stock and its distribution

As this is a national UNV assignment, the UN Volunteer will be responsible for arranging his/her own housing and other living essentials.
UNV Field Unit will help you open a Pak rupee bank account with Standard Chartered Bank or any other local bank at your duty station.
