Overview
Assist with fundraising and donor management initiatives
You have:
- An interest in international and refugee issues
- Effective communication and writing skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent organizational skills
- Creativity and initiative to follow through on projects
- A strong desire to help people and enthusiasm to work in a multi-cultural setting
- Prior experience in a non-profit setting
- Prior relevant coursework preferred
- Provide data collection and research including tracking all forms of funding sources; - Draft written materials for internal and external communications and prepare mass mailings; - Proofread and edit letters of intent and grant proposals; - Assist with updating and maintaining IRC donor database; - Research potential major donor prospects and assist with donor outreach and cultivation; - Provide direct service to refugee clients as needed by Resource Development team; - Assist with other Resource Development needs such as donor management, external communications, and fundraising; - Attend and actively participate in staff meetings and special staff development programs; - Submit intern hours on volunteer dashboard; - Other duties as assigned
Qualifications - An interest in international and refugee issues; - Effective communication and writing skills; - Strong attention to detail; - Excellent organizational skills; - Creativity and initiative to follow through on projects; - A strong desire to help people and enthusiasm to work in a multi-cultural setting; - Prior experience in a non-profit setting a plus; - Prior relevant coursework preferred.
This is an in-person role. This role will report to the Development Assistant.
