Expected duration It should be noted that this post is to be filled on a part-time basis for 77 days during a period of 11 (eleven) months.

Duties and Responsibilities THE ORGANIZATIONAL SETTING The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) sets international Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs) for aviation safety, air navigation, security and environmental protection. To that effect, ICAO is a knowledge-based organization engaged in the development of intellectual property.

The Air Navigation Bureau (ANB) in ICAO is responsible for providing technical guidance to the Air Navigation Commission (ANC), the Council, and the Assembly. ANB provides technical expertise in aviation-related disciplines to States and industry. The Bureau is also responsible for maintaining and implementing the Global Aviation Safety Plan and Global Air Navigation Plan, including its aviation system block upgrades as well as producing yearly safety and air navigation status reports. The Bureau develops technical studies and proposals for SARPs and Procedures for Air Navigation Services (PANS) for further processing by the governing bodies of ICAO. The Bureau also develops related guidance material.

The incumbent reports to the Director, Air Navigation Bureau.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Support the ANB management with the finalization and implementation of the ANB Strategic Plan. - Support the implementation of the Strategic Actions, focusing on the workload prioritization and ANB communication plan. - The activities and associated deliverables include, but not limited to, assistance in the development of templates, project plans, decision assist tools and related presentations as required. - Provide advice to the ANB management team related to the above. - Conduct workshops with ANB managers related to the above. - Provide communications coaching to ANB managers if needed. - Provide advice on ICAO corporate initiatives such as strategic and business planning, work prioritisation, internal communications and other organizational transformation initiatives.

Qualifications/special skills Academic Qualifications: A second-level or first-level university degree and relevant training in strategic thinking and change management.

Experience: Essential - A minimum of twelve (12) years’ experience in senior positions related to management consulting and training in the following areas: Strategic Planning on Organizational issues, Change Management, Executive Planning, leadership assessment and development, Innovation techniques, Management approaches and Strategic Thinking frameworks. - Management consulting and training in organizational strategic planning.

Desirable - Previous recent related experience working with ICAO including ANB.

Language: Essential - Fluent reading, writing and speaking abilities in English are essential. Desirable - A working knowledge of a second language of the Organization (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, or Spanish).

Additional Information Please note that the daily rate for Band C varies from CAD $402 to CAD $578.
