Result of Service The work of the consultant will directly contribute to outreach activities in Haiti, specifically in Creole and French and support the UN’s effective strategic communications with all Haitians.

Work Location Port-au-Prince / Remote work

Expected duration 30 days within 6 months, starting on July 1, 2022.

Duties and Responsibilities The United Nations System has begun the process of developing its new United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework (UNSDCF) for Haiti as the current Integrated Strategic Framework comes to an end on 31 December 2022. The UNSDCF will be the United Nations reference document for planning and carrying out actions to support the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development in Haiti. Covering the period 2023-2027, it will govern the entire programming cycle organizing the planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the collective action conducted by the United Nations System. As part of their activities, UN agencies, in collaboration with the Government and their international and local partners, implement activities aimed at improving the living conditions and well-being of the people living in Haiti. As Haiti experiences multiple over-lapping crises, an experienced consultant is sought to support the effective delivery of communications activities by the Resident Coordinator's Office.

Qualifications/special skills Skills: Familiarity with MailChimp and website Content Managing Systems is required Academic Qualifications: Academic qualifications: Bachelor's degree in communications or related field is required. Experience: A minimum of five years of professional experience in public information is required. Language: English is an official working language of the United Nations. For this assignment fluency in English, French and Haitian Creole is required
