ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT

These jobs are found in WFP warehouses. Job holders report to the Warehouse Management Associate. At this level, job holders typically work in large WFP warehouses with very busy and complex warehouse operations and are required to operate with a high degree of independence. They manage a number of warehouse support staff to achieve effective warehouse management.

JOB PURPOSE

Following the March 2020 security unrest in several districts of Cabo Delgado province, WFP and other humaniatrian entities operations in this province has increased in response. IDP response operation are still underway and expected to continue for most of the first half of 2021. Therefore the need for a Storekeeper to support these activities.

STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Completion of Secundary School. A post secundary certificate on a funtional area is desireble. Language: Fluency in Portuguese and basic Knowledge of English

Experience: Desired experience in using logistics databases to monitor ongoing shipments, pipeline information and food stock moviments.

Desired experience in analysing data (on commodities, etc.) and drafting reports.

Experience in measuring service providers’ performance against set KPIs.

Experience in providing technical business support in stock management

Experience working with corporate systems (databases or Microsoft software) also necessary.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)

1. Under direct supervison of the Logistics Associate, or delegated authority, provide support to Logistics operation at the warehouse, by ensuring that all activities follows the standards processes and facilitating, directly or indirectly, the effective delivery of food assistance to beneficiaries. 2. Support the warehouse manager on efective planning and management of warehouse operations,to ensure safe and efficient warehousing and storage of all commodities and supplies. 3. Implement WFP corporate warehouse standards and procedures, to support efficiency and changing business needs. 4. Responsible for receipt/dispatch of commodities, to ensure accurate recording, accounting and reporting is available at all times tosupport decision-making. 5. Responsible for the accuracy of warehouse transaction records including identification of discrepancies, to ensure immediate and accurate reporting on commodity movements in line with the corporate requirements. 6. Responsible for inventory management (e.g. daily physical stock verification, reporting, complience, commodity quality checks etc.), to ensure any existing and developing issues with regards to proper stocks management are timely addressed and WFP standard procedures for commodity handling and storage arestrictly followed. 7. Review, verify and sign off warehouse and transport documents, and ensure accurate maintenance of confidential files and warehouse transaction records to enable immediate reporting on commodity movements in line with the corporate requirements. 8. Conduct daily warehouse closing reconciliation and accurateinventory checks supporting internal control systems in compliance with the warehouse management requirements. 9. Perform daily inspections and prepare reports on the quantity and quality of the commodities received/dispatched and handled, detect promptly and analyse reasons for stock discrepancies/damages, investigate missing quantity and prepare warehouse loss reports recommending appropriate solutions, to enable informed decision-making. 10. Monitor condition of the warehouse and commodities and take appropriate actions,to support efficient warehouse space-planning and well-organized commodity storage following WFP warehouse standards. 11. Prepare regular and ad hoc reports and statistics on warehouse operations, to support informed planning and decision-making. 12. Review on daiy basis warehouse space availability, plan and implement new design layouts to support business needs and ensure cost-efficiency.

13. Work in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, in order to deliver aligned and coherent warehouse services. 14. Identify training needs and efficiently plan trainings, to ensure that all staff have required knowledge and skills to carry out their responsibilities. 15.
