You have:
- Completion of secondary school (high school diploma) or equivalent
- Must have a valid driving license
- A minimum of five years of driving and transport-related experience is required
- Fluency in English, i.e. oral and written proficiency, is required
- Knowledge of another official UN language is an advantage
- Experience working with the UN or other multilateral or private organizations will be an advantage
Result of Service Provision of Office Transport Services including transportation of staff members and courier services.

Expected duration Four months starting 20 October 2021 up to19 February 2022 ( $743.06 per month equivalent to a total of $2,972)
Duties and Responsibilities - BACKGROUND
This position is in the Economic commission for Africa Sub-Regional Office for Eastern Africa (SRO-EA) in Kigali. The Driver reports to the Administrative and Finance Officer, under the overall supervision and reporting to the Director of the Office
Duty Station: Kigali, Rwanda (Sub-Regional Office for Eastern Africa, SRO-EA) Duration of contract: Four (4) months (20 October 2021 to 19 February 2021) Type of Contract: Individual contractor
- RESPONSIBILITIES
The tasks of Driver will include, but are not necessarily limited to, providing the following assistance: - Support s/m in preparation of 25th ICSOE and transport them to and from the meeting venue - Conducts daily checks to ensure the mechanical soundness of the assigned vehicle prior to operating by verifying and undertaking check of petrol, oil water levels, electrical system, blacks tire pressure and condition - In case his/her vehicle is involved in accident, ensure that the necessary steps confirming to rules and regulations are taken; - Responsible for the day to day maintenance and cleanliness of the vehicle in his/her charge; - Keep inform the line managers for any irregular happen to the vehicles and suggest the necessary steps; - Keep inspect the vehicles’ document of licensing, insurance, inform the line managers as needed; - Keeps records/logbook as required of the performance and cost of upkeep of the vehicle assigned to him/her; - Drives ECA official, other visiting UN staff and visitors - Delivery support as messenger and responsible for safe carrying of pouches, mail or any documents, parcels or other articles entrusted to him/her for transporting as assigned by line manager; - Assists in logistic work process as necessary, and flexibility in working hours and over the weekend;
Qualifications/special skills Academic Qualifications: Completion of secondary school (high school diploma) or equivalent; - Must have a valid driving license; Experience: A minimum of five years of driving and transport-related experience is required. Experience working with the UN or other multilateral or private organizations will be an advantage Language: English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the position advertised, fluency in English, i.e. oral and written proficiency, is required. Knowledge of another official UN language is an advantage
