Job Overview/Summary: The IRC is seeking a Sr. Program Officer (SPO), Instructional Design for Switchboard, an Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR)-funded program. The SPO will be responsible for developing and implementing Switchboard’s instructional design strategy, with emphasis on self-paced courses, certificate courses, and webinars. This position supervises Switchboard’s instructional design team.

This position is contingent upon receipt of grant funding.

Major Responsibilities:

- Manage team of instructional design support staff. - Lead Switchboard’s strategy for self-paced e-learning courses, including design, development, and implementation within Switchboard’s learning management system (LMS), Thinkific. - Partner with external sub-awardees and independent consultants to produce webinars, courses, and other learning resources in alignment with Switchboard’s quality standards and brand guidelines. Work in close coordination with Partnership team. - Oversee logistics and communications for live Switchboard virtual events (webinars, certificate courses, self-paced courses), with support of Virtual Events Coordinator. Ensure smooth production of webinars within the Zoom Webinar and Zoom Meeting platforms. Ensure responsive email communications with participants. - Ensure Section 508 Accessibility standards are followed across all Switchboard materials. - Lead training for external sub-award partners, independent consultants, and internal staff (as needed) on instructional design best practices. - Coordinate with Training team to ensure consistency across all internally and externally led project deliverables. - Coordinate with Strategy and Operations team to ensure all activities align with Switchboard’s prime award and sub-award workplans. - Coordinate with monitoring and evaluation (M&E) colleagues to capture, track, and analyze relevant learner data to inform ongoing improvements.

Job Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in instructional design/education, or equivalent experience. Current instructional design certificate preferred. - 4+ years’ experience developing and implementing training/education programs via multimedia platforms. A portfolio of eLearning and multimedia work will be requested for review. - Commitment to gender equality, diversity, and inclusion in people management - Experience contributing to project M&E (data collection, management, and reporting)

Compensation: Posted pay ranges apply to US-based candidates. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience and skills relative to the defined job requirement.
