Job Description

- Work closely with Supply Chain, Admin/HR departments and Field Offices to ensure rental, contractual and salary taxes are calculated accurately as per Afghanistan Tax Law. - Prepare tax payments, process the approval and timely transfer to medium taxpayer office. - Work with finance manager to receive ACSS forms for tax transfers from relevant bank. - Prepare the standard tax forms, process approval and submit it with other required documents to MTO branch. - Maintain proper filing system for all processed and outstanding tax forms. Ensure all vouchers have a copy of signed tax form. - Coordinate with Supply Chain and Admin departments to ensure all suppliers are received a copy of tax form. - Maintain an excel database including all tax information and update it timely. - Prepare Annual Tax Return report for IRC Afghanistan and ensure the clearance forms are obtained timely. - Serve as focal point and representative of IRC Afghanistan in all meetings and correspondence with Ministry of Finance and relevant directorates. - Advise Finance, Admin/HR, Supply Chain departments and Field Offices for all tax regulations and any changes to the Afghanistan Tax Law. Provide training when necessary. - Participate in professional development activities, as needed, or requested and perform other duties, as necessary or as requested.

Qualifications

- A recognized professional certificate in accounting. A bachelor’s degree in accounting, Business Administration, Commerce or Finance is preferred. - Good knowledge of Afghanistan Tax Laws and Regulations. - Minimum of three (3) years of accounting experience.

- Good knowledge of MS office ex. Word, Excel, etc.

- Must be able to function comfortably in a loosely structured but complex work environment, working and prioritizing multiple tasks. - Able to communicate effectively (written and verbal) in English with program staff, management and employees - Good time management and interpersonal skills

- Must be a patient and good communicator who can function in an organizational environment involving a diversity of cultures, languages, and personal interests and agendas. - Good at role of facilitator and team player in solving problems. - Committed to staff training and development.
