Overview
Design, implement, and supervise advocacy and communication strategies for Mercy Corps in Haiti.
You have:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in social communication, public relations, journalism, law, social science or other relevant field, with at least five years of solid experience in a position related to advocacy and communication.
- Knowledge of participatory development ideology concepts.
- Strong ability to utilize information technologies, including social media.
- Significant experience in event management, preferably in the humanitarian or development field.
- Experience in designing advocacy and communication materials and tools.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with partners.
- Excellent spoken and written skills in Creole and French, good working knowledge of English is highly appreciated.
- Experience with donors like DOS/USAID, ECHO, EU and/or DFID for emergency programs and projects is an advantage.
- Attention to detail, ability to follow procedures, meet deadlines, work independently and collaborate with team members under stress.
