The World Economic Forum, committed to improving the state of the world, is the international organization for public-private cooperation.

The Forum engages the foremost political, business and other leaders of society to shape global, regional and industry agendas.

Why we are recruiting

Since 2019 the Forum is engaging with Board Directors world-wide on sustainability topics, supporting thought leadership, capacity-building and fostering strategic dialogue on how governance must evolve in response to emerging standards, evolving fiduciary duties and shifting market signals.

At the Annual Meeting in Davos, the Forum launched the Guiding Principles for Climate and Nature Governance, establishing a forward-looking framework to support boards in overseeing long-term value creation in a rapidly changing risk landscape. Building on this foundation, the Forum is deepening its engagement with a global network of board leaders to shape strategic perspectives on governance, resilience and competitiveness. The Resilient Boards Network provides a trusted and neutral platform to help directors navigate this complexity, anticipate systemic challenges and contribute to shaping global governance practices that support resilience and sustainable growth.

The Network will play a catalytic role in elevating board-level leadership on emerging risks and opportunities, strengthening peer exchange, and contributing to greater coherence in expectations around sustainability oversight and long-term performance. A central objective of this work is to advance more integrated and decision-useful governance approaches that enable boards to align strategy, risk management and stakeholder value in an increasingly complex and fragmented global environment.

The Specialist, Resilient Boards Network will be responsible for the strategic coordination and project management of the Network’s activities at the World Economic Forum’s headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland. She/he will support the effective engagement of internal and external partners and ensure the delivery of key priorities, including thought leadership, high-level convenings and ongoing board engagement activities.
