• Support towards implementation of the UNPRPD activities and acting as a voice of the people of disabilities with a specific emphasis on women, persons with disabilities from underrepresented groups and persons with disabilities in rural and remote areas (UN-FPA activities will focus on capacity building trainings for GBV service-providers (healthcare, law enforcement, social and psychological services) on provision of disa-bility-inclusive services to victims of gender-based violence; review of existing legal systems and frameworks in the area of GBV prevention and response, GEWE etc. in light of Uzbekistan’s obligations under the CRPD with proposals for disability main-streaming, including for women and girls with disabilities); • Review relevant documents on the situation of people with disabilities with particular focus on the aspects of gender equality, sexual, reproductive health and rights (docu-ments may include, but not limited to health policies, national legislation and regulatory frameworks, analytical materials, and concluding observations of CEDAW, UPR), iden-tify gaps & challenges; document the main findings & formulate draft solutions for ad-dressing the problems; • Support mapping of all organizations working at the national level with and for persons with disabilities; • Suggest innovative ways of reaching out to people with different types of disabilities for raising their awareness on gender equality, gender-based violence, reproductive rights and existing services and increasing their social inclusion and self-confidence; • Contribute to identifying areas for cooperation and collaboration between UNFPA, oth-er UN Agencies & development partners, CSOs working with and for persons with dis-abilities, private sector and provide inputs to joint initiatives and support development of strategic partnerships.

Under the overall guidance and direct supervision of the UNFPA National Programme Analyst on Gender Issues, the UN Volunteer will undertake the following tasks: • Assist in UNFPA work related to PLWD; • Provision of review for UNFPA activities with PLWD; • Support and contribution to the program activities; • Liaison with the targeted program recipients to ensure proper coordination and partnership between them and UNFPA office within the framework of program ac-tivities implementation; • Contributes to the preparation of programme and financial reports by collecting in-formation, preparing tables, drafting selected sections of the report etc. • Compiles relevant background materials and prepares briefs and summaries if re-quested. Maintains database of public information contacts and potential donors.
