The Forum’s Beijing Office is registered as an NGO in China and engages the foremost political, business, and societal leaders to shape global, regional, and industry agendas.

As part of the Centre for Regions, Trade and Geopolitics (CRTG), the Beijing team manages the Forum’s engagement with government and public sector institutions in Greater China.

Reporting Lines & Interactions

This position is based in the World Economic Forum’s Beijing Representative Office and reports to the Head of Government Engagement of Greater China.

Scope of Responsibilities

The Specialist will dedicate approximately 30% of their time to administrative support for the team and 70% to supporting government engagement activities across the region.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide administrative support, including data entry, background research, and logistical coordination.
  • Conduct policy research on central and local government developments.
  • Support engagement with government departments at multiple levels for Forum initiatives, events, and meetings, including but not limited to the Annual Meeting in Davos and the Annual Meeting of the New Champions in China.
  • Conduct stakeholder mapping to identify opportunities that align Chinese government priorities with Forum initiatives.
  • Provide logistical support for Chinese officials attending Forum events and for Forum leadership visits to China.
  • Draft briefing materials, talking points, and communications; ensure timely follow-up and delivery of key information to stakeholders.
  • Support ad hoc tasks and projects from the global CRTG team, Beijing Office, and Geneva headquarters.
