Provide ongoing solutions architecture, data engineering, and application support services.

You have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Software Engineering
  • 5+ years supporting enterprise digital platforms and cloud-based applications
  • Proven experience with Microsoft Azure infrastructure, deployments, and application support
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and DevOps practices
  • Experience in data engineering, ETL/ELT workflows, and analytics/reporting platforms
  • Experience integrating enterprise systems, APIs, and third-party applications
  • Strong troubleshooting, maintenance, and operational support experience for enterprise applications
  • Experience with Databricks and modern data warehouse implementations
  • Exposure to microservices architecture and application modernization initiatives
  • Experience supporting enterprise dashboards, analytics, and reporting systems
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes and cloud-native deployment approaches
  • Experience working in international or multi-stakeholder environments
  • Understanding of security optimization and application performance tuning

How can you make a difference?

Provide ongoing solutions architecture, cloud infrastructure, data engineering, DevOps, and enterprise application support services for UNICEF Supply Division digitalization initiatives, including support for enterprise platforms, analytics solutions, integrations, data warehouse modernization, and application infrastructure setup and optimization for 11 months.

The Consultant will report to the Project Officer and work under the general supervision of the Business Analysis Manager at the Information Communication Technology team at Supply Division, in close collaboration and matrix management with Supply Division business units, technical teams, external vendors, and implementation partners.

The consultancy will operate deliverables-based engagement model whereby technical priorities, implementation activities, and assignments may evolve during the consultancy period based on operational requirements, programme priorities, infrastructure needs, and digital transformation initiatives.

The Consultant will provide ongoing architecture, cloud engineering, DevOps, data engineering, analytics, application modernization, infrastructure support, and technical advisory services within the approved level of effort and contract ceiling, including:

Minimum requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Software Engineering

Work Experience:

• 5+ years supporting enterprise digital platforms and cloud-based applications.

• Proven experience with Microsoft Azure infrastructure, deployments, and application support.

• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and DevOps practices.

• Experience in data engineering, ETL/ELT workflows, and analytics/reporting platforms.
