Overview

Develop and maintain software applications as assigned.

You have:

  • A university degree in computer science, business administration with a major in IT or related discipline.
  • At least 3 years of experience in mobile applications development using ASP.Net and MS SQL Server.
  • 1 year experience of using .Net Core, WCF, Web APIs using .Net framework & VB.Net/C#.
  • Good command of spoken and written English.
  • Experience in implementing multi-user systems.
  • Experience or knowledge of HTML, AJAX, JavaScript, object-oriented analysis and design.

Work Location Headquarters Amman

Expected duration ¿ The duration of the consultancy is 3 to 11 months, extendable according to performance and availability of funds. ¿ Remuneration for this consultancy will be JD780 per month. ¿ The incumbent must be located in Jordan.

Duties and Responsibilities - Perform software development and maintenance tasks on applications to which assigned. - Perform limited analysis tasks as assigned by the supervisor for the design, implementation, customization and maintenance of Agency software applications. - Assist in collecting and documenting user requirements and preparation of system and program specifications. - Assist in preparation of user manuals and other documentation for the systems and applications to which assigned.

Qualifications/special skills Academic Qualifications: - A university degree from an accredited educational institution in computer science, business administration with a major in or focus on information technology, or other related discipline. DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS - Experience in implementing multi-user systems. - Experience or knowledge of HTML, AJAX, JavaScript, object-oriented analysis and design. Additional Information The incumbent is responsible to one of the Senior Functional Experts managing software development projects at UNRWA HQ (Amman).
