You have:
- Proven experience in video editing and multimedia production.
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut Desktop, or similar editing software.

UNISFA is seeking a creative and highly motivated Online Volunteers Video Editor and Digital Content Creator to support the Mission’s expanding digital communications and multimedia storytelling efforts during a critical period of mandate implementation and heightened public engagement.
The volunteer((s) will support the production of compelling multimedia content highlighting peacekeeping operations, community engagement activities, humanitarian support, infrastructure projects, women and youth initiatives, and information integrity efforts across Abyei.
The assignment will contribute to strengthening public awareness of UNISFA’s mandate, increasing visibility of mission impact, promoting peace messaging, and enhancing audience engagement across digital platforms.
The volunteers will work closely with the Strategic Communications and Public Information team to produce high-quality visual content optimized for social media, web, and internal communications platforms.
The objectives of the assignment are:
• Strengthen UNISFA’s social media presence through high-quality video content. • Enhance audience engagement by producing creative, platform specific video assets. • Support ongoing campaigns, events, and storytelling initiatives through visual content.
Task type Task description
Video-editing & production • Edit short-form videos (e.g., 15–60 seconds) for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, X. • Edit longer-form videos (1–5 minutes) for YouTube or website when needed. • Cut, trim, and assemble raw footage. • Add subtitles, captions, and on-screen text following brand guidelines. • Apply colour correction, basic sound design, and transitions. • Create simple motion graphics (e.g., lower thirds, animated text).
Social Media Optimization • Adapt 100% of videos to platform-specific requirements (e.g., 9:16, 1:1, 16:9 formats; correct duration and file formats). • Ensure all content (100%) aligns with brand tone, visual identity, and accessibility standards (e.g., readable captions, proper contrast). • Create 1–2 thumbnail options per video for platforms such as YouTube and LinkedIn. • Produce 1–3 teaser clips (5–15 seconds each) per main video for cross-platform promotion.
Photo-video content uploading on UN Peacekeeping Media • Prepare and organize 10–30 multimedia files per week (photos, videos, graphics) for upload to UNISFA Media. • Ensure 100% compliance with file formats, naming conventions, and quality standards. • Add complete metadata for every asset, including: Title (1 per file) Description (1–2 sentences) Date and location Photographer/videographer credit 5–10 relevant keywords/tags • Upload and publish content within 24–48 hours after approval. • Maintain zero-error accuracy in metadata through coordination with relevant teams. • Review and update metadata for 5–10 existing assets per week, when required.
Collaboration and Workflow • Work closely with the Communications team on 100% of assigned projects to understand briefs and expected outputs. • Participate in 1–2 content planning meetings per week (online) to align on priorities and schedules. • Follow 100% compliance with established workflows, including version control, file naming, and delivery guidelines. • Share at least 2 draft versions per project (where required) for review and feedback. • Deliver 100% of videos within agreed deadlines, typically within 2–5 working days depending on complexity. • Respond to feedback and implement revisions within 24–48 hours after receiving comments.
