In the first week of December, UNV Turkey Field Unit need the support of 2 Online Volunteers to prepare texts and visuals to communicate the event series. These 2 Online Volunteers will deliver respectively the below 2 tasks in collaboration and harmonization: - use corporate templates to create texts (mainly highlights, short texts to describe the upcoming events, in EN and TR, up to 10 pieces) - designs (visuals/videos from the events, up to 20 pieces) in Turkish and English to support online (digital) event for International Volunteers Day celebrations in Turkey. Online Volunteers will use these materials to engage audience of the event and to cover results of the event through social media accounts: regional and country level. The agenda of the events, entry credentials to access the panels and artistic sessions of the event, and guidelines will be provided by the UNV Field Unit country coordinator, UNV Communications Officer or the project coordinator.

    The United Nations Volunteers (UNV) Programme is the UN organization that promotes volunteerism to support peace and development worldwide. The UNV Regional Office for Europe and CIS provides oversight and strategic guidance to the UNV Field Units in the region and is accountable for the placement of UN Volunteers mobilized for UN Agencies, Funds, and Programmes focused on peace, development and humanitarian needs. In December 2020, one of priority countries of the region – Turkey – will conduct International Volunteer Day (IVD). It is held each year on 5 December to promote volunteering activities, acknowledge the added value of volunteers, and benefits in order to increase the participation to volunteering programs. This event will be co-leaded by National Volunteer Committee of Turkey and UNV with the support of GIZ and the Ministry of Youth and Sports. Elaboration of the preparatory event materials as well as coverage of the event that will consist of different virtual activities is critically important to raise visibility of opportunities that volunteerism brings to the country and of the volunteers which input into Sust. Dev. Agenda is vital in 2020 and beyond.

    The Online Volunteer(s) needs to be capable of: (i) Following the event and providing social media posts during the event and create stories from the ongoing discussions to be posted on the UNV Turkey & Eurasia SM accounts (twitter, Facebook, Instagram) is key (ii) - Using text editing software such as Word; - Using graphic design and video editing Photoshop, Premier Pro etc to create and edit materials of different types (iii) writing and editing in EN and TR languages
