In Cairo, UNHabitat Egypt is hosting the one UN Pavilion at the World Urban Forum (WUF12). The assignments focus on various aspects of event coordination, technical operations, media management, documentation, and social media engagement for the UN's pavilion.
For this event, we are seeking online volunteers to assist with Event Coordination, Technical Support, Media Relations, Documentation and Reporting, and Social Media Management.
The volunteers will play key roles in ensuring the event runs smoothly, receives media attention, and is properly documented for future reference.
UN-Habitat seek support from 3 online volunteers with experience in social media management to support the one UN Pavilion at the World Urban Forum (WUF12)
Develop a content plan: Create a detailed timeline of social media posts to promote the One UN Pavilion during WUF12. The plan should include posts leading up to, during, and after the event, highlighting key messages, visuals, and audience engagement strategies.
Explore media buying options: Research and propose cost-effective social media advertising options (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) that can increase the pavilion's visibility. Include suggestions on budget allocation, target audience, and expected reach.
Organize a pre-event social media countdown: Plan a series of engaging posts or stories that count down to WUF12. Focus on building excitement and anticipation, featuring teasers of what to expect at the One UN Pavilion.
Candidates should have previous experience in campaigning or strategy development with excellent communication and writing/editing skills. Good knowledge of online marketing tools and channels, as well as experience with designing of outreach/marketing tools is highly desired. A degree in marketing, marketing management, communications or related fields is considered an asset.
