Assist UNAIDS in social media and graphic design for 16 Days of Activism campaign.
You have:
- Secondary school education or equivalent;
- Voluntary service, community engagement, or relevant work experience can be considered in lieu of formal education;
- Skills in graphic design, including ability to create visual assets for social media using popular design tools (e.g. Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or similar);
- Basic video editing skills using widely used software (e.g. CapCut, Adobe Premiere Rush, or similar);
- Good communication and storytelling skills;
- Basic usage of computer and office applications;
- Good command of the working language in the respective municipality is required.
- Basic English language skills are desired.
The 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence is an annual international campaign that kicks off on 25 November, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, and runs until 10 December, Human Rights Day. Every year, the UNITE Campaign focuses on a specific theme. The campaign calls on citizens to show how much they care about ending violence against women and girls by sharing the actions they are taking to create a world free from violence against women. UNAIDS, in cooperation with UNV has established a Special programme Initiative, aiming at engaging UN Volunteers to support UNAIDS and in particular, the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence campaign in Ukraine.
The selected UN Community Volunteers will assist UNAIDS team in Ukraine in: Awareness, social media management and graphic design: Supporting UNAIDS Ukraine team in the design, creation, and dissemination of social media content and visual materials across UNAIDS digital platforms. Selected UN Community Volunteers will contribute to online campaigns, help amplify key messages on ending gender-based violence, and engage audiences through compelling storytelling and creative visuals.
Under the direct supervision of UNAIDS’ Communications Advisor, the UN Community Volunteer will:
• Undergo training on UNAIDS’ processes, communications guidelines, and activities for the 16 Days of Activism against GBV campaign. • Support the design, development, and adaptation of social media assets, including visual templates, graphics, and infographics, for UNAIDS digital platforms. • Assist in preparing and scheduling social media posts, including human-centered storytelling and success stories highlighting small acts of support for people living with HIV and key populations. • Collaborate with the UNAIDS communications team to ensure content aligns with campaign messaging and UNAIDS brand guidelines. • Engage online audiences through digital campaigns, helping amplify key messages on ending gender-based violence and promoting community awareness.

This is an unpaid volunteer assignment.
