You have:
- At least 3 years of professional work experience at the national and/or international level in digital media, including technical skills and hands-on experience in managing social media platforms.
- Excellent English oral and written skills; excellent drafting, formulation, and reporting skills.
- Experience in using tools, including Canva, Adobe, etc., to produce and edit content.
- Experience in social media analytics for Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, YouTube and broadcast channels.
- Experience in using social media analytics tools to produce reports, manage scheduling and community management.
- Experience in using social listening tools and producing detailed reports on social listening is an asset.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; culturally and socially sensitive; ability to work inclusively and collaboratively with a range of partners, including grassroots community members, youth, and authorities at different levels.
- Solid overall computer literacy, including proficiency in various MS Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.)
- Self-motivated, ability to work with minimum supervision; ability to work with tight deadlines.
- Experience in photography, videography, and editing photos and videos for social media is an asset.
- Experience working in the UN or other international development organisations is an asset.
- Knowledge of Hindi or any other local language is an asset.

Under the overall supervision of the Communication Officer, the UNV will support the daily management of social media channels, provide support for analytic reports, marketing content, and social listening, as and when needed.
Under the direct supervision of the Communication Officer, the UN Volunteer will undertake the following tasks: • Support in the daily management of UNICEF India’s social media channels, including community management and scheduling/publishing content. • Conceptualize and edit content to be published on UNICEF India’s social media channels. • Support in social media analytics, producing monthly and campaign reports. • Support in marketing social media content on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube. • Support in producing social listening reports on specific topics.

The assignment will be based in New Delhi. New Delhi is the capital city of India, experiences a diverse climate and has distinct living conditions influenced by its weather, infrastructure, and culture. A melting pot of cultures, languages, and cuisines, reflecting the diverse nature of India. Overall, living in Delhi offers a mix of modern urban life with deep-rooted traditions and challenges typical of a large, bustling metropolis.
As this is a national UN Volunteer assignment, the UN Volunteer will be responsible for arranging his/her own housing and other living essentials. This position is based in UNICEF’s office, New Delhi. National UN Volunteers are part of the malicious insurance plan. National UN Volunteers are expected to be culturally sensitive and adjust to the prevailing culture and traditions.
The contract lasts for the period indicated above with possibility of extensions subject to availability of funding, operational necessity and satisfactory performance. However, there is no expectation of renewal of the assignment.
The applicable Volunteer Living Allowance is provided monthly to cover housing, utilities and normal cost of living expenses. Life, health and permanent disability insurance are included (health insurance for up to 3 dependents - except for UN Community Volunteers), as well as final repatriation (if applicable).
