- COVID-19 Response
Public information and reporting
Risk Communication and Community Engagement (RCCE) is one of the key pillars of UNICEF’s COVID-19 response. UNICEF Communication for Development is co-leading COVID-19 RCCE efforts at the Interagency level (jointly with WHO and IFRC) as well as leading UNICEF RCCE work (together with key sectors, divisions and programs). Social listening is an important aspect of RCCE as it provides information about ongoing conversations on COVID-19, among other reasons. UNICEF Middle East and North Africa (MENA) regional office has contracted a social listening services provider for access to a real-time platform. As the crisis evolves and the RCCE response expands, the collection, analysis, and use of social listening data will contribute to more localised, community-centric RCCE actions in MENA.
