Overview

Support vaccination and event communication efforts in Kyrgyzstan

You have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, mass communication, social/humanitarian sciences.
  • At least three years of experience working in a developmental organization.
  • Working experience in the field of communication, public relations, media relations.
  • Experience with UNICEF/UN agencies is an asset.
  • Experience in conducting observational research, and recruitment for focus groups discussions and in-depth interviews.
  • At least two years of experience in health communication.
  • Fluency in Russian and English; knowledge of Kyrgyz is an advantage.

Key tasks of the Social and Behaviour Change/Media Contract are the following: 1. Assistance to research on behavioural insights (BI) to improve the uptake of childhood vaccination in Kyrgyzstan. (a) Organization of Ideation Workshop related to research on behavioural insights to improve the uptake of childhood vaccination in Kyrgyzstan. (b) Support the research company Behavioural Insights Team (BIT) at country level to schedule 8 interviews, 1 focus group and 3 stakeholder interviews. (c) Conduct 2-days observing behaviour in health centres using an observation guide prepared by BIT. This will include observing behaviour in three separate clinics. Produce a comprehensive written report in English summarizing the observations, making clear which clinic the observation relates to and including photographs where possible and appropriate. 2. Organize and implement signature events and communication activities

(a) Coordinate the production of Human Interest Stories on COVAX and other programme related topics to be identified with programme officers and Comms team.

(b) Draft press release and organize media coverage for signature events

(c) Organise media coverage and visibility of COVAX vaccines supply and routine immunization

(d) Organize signature events for programmes

(e) Support implementation of the communication plan on STEM4Girls project
