Job Description

General Duties

- Refueling, daily check, weekly check of all generators at the Kabul main office and guest houses. - Perform emergency repairs of generators. - Performing any other related duties as assigned from time to time. - Ensure all servicing activities in the related fields are carried out in full compliance with the IRC International, and as applicable local, SC Policies. - Ensure workshop and workshop equipment is always kept clean and secure. - Ensure that all repairs and servicing is carried out under safe working conditions and that any defects or problems with generators and vehicles are reported immediately to the Mechanic Foreman. - Control and take care of the fuel storage in compound and guest houses, and train guards in operation and fueling of generators. - To carry out daily preventive maintenance, including checking fuel and water check (radiator and wipers), lights, tires pressure, horn, and general inspection of interior and exterior of the vehicle. - To undertake any other task assigned from time to time.

Specific Duties:

Qualifications

- 14 grade graduates - 1 to 2 years - Understanding vehicle and generator maintenance - Knowledge of vehicle repair, preventative maintenance, and the ability to use power and hand tools. - Communication and reporting skills - Fluency in Pashto, Dari, and English - Computer skills (including MS Word, Excel, Access, and internet) an advantage. - Ability to work closely, professionally, and constructively with all others regardless of nationality, ethnicity, gender, religion, race, tribe, or cultural background.
