Duties and Responsibilities This job opening is for the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC). The overall objective is to ensure efficient and high-quality delivery of office spaces at Beirut seaport for Lebanese Customs under the UNODC Container Control Programme (CCP).
The assignment will include, but are not limited to, the following activities: - Review and adapt existing design and Bill of Quantities - Visiting location site at Beirut port, conducting construction assessment and measurements to carry on the supervision of refurbishment work. - Support evaluation of technical bids - Working with appointed contractor to ensure dedicated space is well built for long term use. - Supervising implementation of installation work at the port until delivery of all prefabricated office spaces. - Issuing final report indicating the completeness of the construction in compliance with all architectural, mechanical and electrical specifications.
Qualifications/special skills Academic Qualifications: University degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture. Experience: - 10 years' experience in civil engineering or architecture. - Previous experience in refurbishment of spaces. Language: Knowledge of Arabic and English
