Shelter Team Leader Myanmar Taungoo
The purpose of a Team Leader is to Manage and coordinate the implementation of Rapid Response Mechanism (RRM) project as assigned for the South-east Myanmar offices.
Qualifications
- Academic background in Development, Humanitarian Aid
- At least 2 years of experience from working a Shelter and emergency project implementation position in a humanitarian/recovery context
- At least 2 years of working experience in partnerships with Local NGOs, CSOs or CBOs is essential.
- Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts
- Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal
Responsibilities
- The main responsibility of the Shelter Team Leader will be assisting Shelter Project Coordinator to act as the RRM focal point for NRC. The overall purpose of the RRM State Focal Point will be to provide operational implementation and coordination for the Rapid Response Mechanism (RRM).
- The Shelter Team Leader will have operational oversight for RRM activities, and will communicate between the implementing Partner/s, and act as an information hub to facilitate decision-making and address points of conflict. Specifically, you will:
- Assist for providing guidance, support, and operational oversight, to NRC RRM national implementing partners
- Assist in developing and supporting the roll-out of RRM in the SE, ensuring the use of the harmonized RRM tools and approaches
- Communicate with downstream partners to ensure adequate contingency planning and preparedness in targeted townships and monitor early warning indicators
Ensure the quality of the implementation by monitoring results and follow-up of post distribution monitoring as required, as well as that After Action Reviews are conducted
