About the job

DRC Libya – Tripolitania Area – Program team is excited to recruit a Shelter/WASH Team Leader to manage Sector projects including 1) project planning and budget management, 2) Supervise and manage team performance, 3) internal and external reporting and coordinations.

Your main duties and responsibilities will be:

  • Lead implementation activities within conflict-affected communities for vulnerable populations including migrant and refugees, Libyan Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) and returnee communities.
  • Responsible for the design, delivery, monitoring, adaption and accountability of project deliverables
  • overseen site assessment of targeted collective/informal/ and household level to support other sector interventions and contribute to assessment tool design, in coordination with other sectors.
  • Ensure quality monitoring and reporting.
  • Represent DRC in Shelter Sector and to communities in an accountable manner.
  • Uphold DRC and technical standards including ensuring diversity and inclusion, and safeguarding principles are considered throughout all activities and engagement.
  • Responsible of technical quality monitoring.
  • Be accountable including safeguarding across shelter/WASH programming and creating opportunities for participation of People of Concern throughout the entire project cycle.

To be successful in this role, we expect you to 1) excellent communicator, 2) have management skills 3) good understanding of Shelter and WASH projects 4) Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills, 5) understanding of humanitarian principles

  • University degree in related subject.

  • At least 3 years of experience in project implementation including an experience with INGO/or NGO performing project management practice including resource management.

  • Result oriented.

  • Good Reporting skills, and fluency in Arabic and English are mandatory.

We offer

Contract length: 6 Months contract with possibility of extension based on performance and fund availablity.

Designation of Duty Station: Tripolitanina, Libya.

Start date: it is likely to start on 19. June. 2022.
