Overview

Lead and manage SRHR programs for adolescents and youth in Mozambique.

You have:

• Degree in relevant field such as medicine, maternal health/midwifery, public health, social sciences, or another related field.
• Relevant professional experience in the area of sexual and reproductive health programme.
• Sound technical knowledge of sexual and reproductive health and development policies.
• Demonstrated experience with programme management cycle, proposal writing, monitoring and report writing.
• Experience in analysing and integrating diverse and complex quantitative and qualitative data.
• Able to generate and use data and evidence to innovate, deliver, learn and share what works and what doesn’t work.
• Skilled at networking, representation and partnership development to promote learning, strengthen civil society and mobilize resources.
• Experience in a technical advisory role, capacity development role and/or research role.

The Opportunity

• Work closely with the business development colleagues to identify and pursue funding opportunities that allow for both integration into broader programmes and standalone SRHR projects; engage with technical partners, donors and colleagues across Plan International Mozambique;
• Support in the technical scoping, planning, and design as well as proposal writing during new programme development, and ensure that we design and deliver high quality SRHR programmes for adolescent/youth, building on global best practice. Ensure that gender, disability and resilience considerations are reflected in our programme design and implementation.
• Operationalize Plan’s vision, mission and the SRHR within the framework of relevant global and national policies.
• Ensure that all SRHR project documents, including proposals, monitoring, and reporting, adequately reflect and address child-centered community development principles.
• Ensure efficient management of financial resources, including review and approval of program budgets, monitoring expenditures, and implementing cost control measures.
• Serve as principal representative to SRHR networks, platforms and clusters and other institutional spaces, engaging with partners and stakeholders and other entities to ensure effective and quality program implementation through collaborative partnerships and alliances, and to positively influence policy debates and policy makers.
• Leverage and liaise with technical colleagues from across Plan International, including technical working groups and centers of excellence, ensuring that learning from PIMz is shared with others and global lessons brought back.
• Undertake frequent field visits to field areas to monitor implementation of activities, follow up on recommendations made to project staff, identify opportunities and constraints and any adjustments needed, including staff training
• Analyze and evaluate data and engage with project managers to ensure achievement of objectives, taking corrective action where necessary;

About You
