Under the supervision of the Fundraising Officer (Individual Fundraising), the Senior Team Leader will be responsible for strengthening of the Team Leaders’ role and for monitoring of the performance of the teams that have permanent presence in Belgrade, Novi Sad and Nis, and also, occasional visits to other cities throughout Serbia.

Senior Team Leader covers the following tasks:

  • Representing UNICEF, its vision and mission in a professional manner.
  • Supporting the Face-to-Face Coordinator with the overview of the performance of up to 80 face to face fundraisers in different assigned sites and cities in Serbia.
  • Monitoring of the performance of own team of face-to-face contractors and supports the work of Team Leaders through exchange of information and guidance.
  • Responsible for achieving daily/ weekly targets and F2F fundraising team targets where required, in accordance with agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). This may include setting targets for individual teams and managing their performance with the support of the F2F Coordinator.
  • Implementing the daily fundraising activities by ensuring efficient schedules and shifts are planned towards the achievement of the best recruitment results.
  • Ensuring that the fundraising materials and equipment are available for the face-to-face teams. Providing logistical support at all locations where the teams are present.
  • Monitoring the attendance of the face-to-face contractors at the trainings and capacity building workshops.
  • Ensuring the understanding of UNICEF programmes, campaigns, and causes, to be able to talk convincingly and transfer knowledge and information to potential supporters about the organisation’s work and ensure team members can do the same. This includes keeping up to date with projects and news that affects the team, participating in training, talking with relevant UNICEF staff, undertaking individual research, etc.
  • Ensuring that the recruitment of new facers contains the latest information on the work of UNICEF and that the educational materials are up to date and participate in the education process of the new team members; Conducting continuous research and updating of knowledge through UNICEF website, social media, newsletters and through attendance at team meetings;
  • Collecting and handling sensitive donor information with the highest regard for confidentiality and information security.
  • Controlling and monitoring the work of face to face fundraisers through provision of guidance and support, as well as quality control check-ups;
  • Following the instructions and procedures on how the work is to be delivered; reporting and communicating to the Supervisor.
  • Providing support in administration as needed.

The Senior Team Leaders are expected to work up to 21 days per month, 8 hours per day, through flexible shifts that will secure their presence in the field to cover the shifts of engagement of the facers.

Knowledge/Expertise/Skills required:

  • Completed secondary education.
  • Experience as a Team Leader for Face-to-Face Fundraising.
  • Understanding of the UNICEF brand and general knowledge of UNICEF activities.
  • Understanding of marketing with an ethical approach.
  • Eagerness to learn.
  • Proven ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and provide deliverables.
  • Ability to be both a proactive leader and a hands-on participant in a collaborative work environment focused on achieving results.
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to clearly communicate ideas and thoughts both verbally and in writing in Serbian and English language.
  • Computer literacy in MS Office (Word, Excel) and experience of using a database for customer relationship management.
