Private Sector Plan for Serbia (2018-2021) involves a strategic focus on the development and expansion of the regular giving through pledge acquisition and retention. Face-to-Face fundraising has been identified as a central technique for pledge acquisition and the office secured significant growth of pledge income through this channel in the last three years.

Senior Team Leader is required to secure the following activities:

  • Mentoring of the existing Team Leaders to build capacity for community development through coaching, team motivation and feed-back to individual contractors.
  • Building of individual capacities of face to face individual contractors in communication skills and presentation skills.
  • Providing team building exercises to secure team performance.
  • Acquiring new pledge donors.
  • Representing UNICEF, its vision and mission in a professional manner.

Work Assignment Overview:

Task 1:

  • Mentoring and coaching Team Leaders on how to motivate and manage face to face fundraisers, and secure reduced turn-over and their achievement of the planned fundraising norms. Sr. Face to Face Team Leader is expected to demonstrate the up to date knowledge of the community development and to apply it to the development of the strong community consisting of face to face fundraisers.
  • The contractor is expected to demonstrate continuous research and updating of knowledge through UNICEF website, social networking platforms, newsletters and through attendance at team meetings.
  • Collecting sensitive donor information and handling of same with the highest regard for confidentiality and information security.

Deliverables: Monthly reports, accurate and timely conduction of work tasks and handover of paperwork.

Task 2:

  • Participation in the training of the existing and newly recruited face to face fundraisers to present and teach them on presentation and communication skills required for donor acquisition.
  • Support the education process of face to face fundraisers and Team Leaders through regular participation and guidance of role plays and providing constructive feedback.
  • Support the recruitment process of new face to face fundraisers through communication with faculties, HR agencies, civil society organizations and other recruitment channels.
  • Participation in the promotion of fundraising professing through social media and standard media.

Deliverables: Monthly reports to include the number of organizations/institutions reached, as well as number of new ‘facers’ who successfully passed the test.

Task 3:

  • Controlling and monitoring of the work of face to face fundraisers and Team Leaders through provision of guidance and support, and quality control check-ups.
  • Following instructions and procedures on how work is to be delivered; all relevant information must be reported and communicated to the Supervisor.

Deliverables: Monthly reports to include key findings on the team performance of the face to face fundraisers assigned to the contractor, maintain average monthly donation at predefined standards.

  • Understanding of UNICEF brand and general knowledge of UNICEF activities.
  • Understanding of marketing with an ethical approach.
  • Good communication and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Approachable, outgoing, resourceful person.
  • Adaptability as a team member.
  • The ability of adjustment in new surroundings and circumstances.
  • Secondary school completed.
  • Eagerness to learn.
  • Fluency in Serbian and English.

  1. Daily rate (all costs included e.g. health insurance, pension, usage of mobile phone),
  2. Daily travel allowance for an overnight stay in Serbia (including accommodation),
  3. Transportation cost per km (for travel within Serbia).
