- Provide counselling to asylum seekers and respond to their queries regarding RSD procedures.
- Expect to report daily to the UNHCR premises in 6 October City, Giza Governorate.

The Senior RSD Assistant position is a caseworker position in the RSD Unit with responsibilities including interviewing and assessing RSD cases. The Senior RSD Assistant must therefore have good drafting skills and be able to express complex ideas concisely in writing. S/he must have good Country of Origin information research skills and be knowledgeable of the conditions in the countries of origin from which individuals approaching UNHCR Egypt for assistance primarily originate from. S/he must have good time management, planning and organizational abilities as the position involves the need to produce high quality work within short deadlines. S/he provides counselling to, and responds to queries from, asylum seekers and refugees regarding UNHCR's RSD procedures, their rights and obligations, including towards the host authorities, and the status of the processing of their claims. S/he will be expected to report daily to the UNHCR premises in 6 October City, Giza Governorate. S/he will be expected to promote workplace harmony and teamwork, and support other tasks as needed by UNHCR Egypt such as registration and other functions based on exigencies of service.Standard Job Description
