Organizational Setting and Reporting Relationship

The position of Senior Remedial Management Assistant is assigned to the Remedial Management Unit (RMOD-RMU) within the Office of Risk Management. You will be based at our Headquarters in Manila, Philippines. You will report to Advisor, RMOD and Head, RMOD-RMU.

Your Role

As a Senior Remedial Management Assistant, you will provide technical support to Advisor, RMOD and Head, RMOD-RMU for remedial management activities as well as coordination and logistical support tasks.

You will:

● Assist and support RMOD-RMU national staff in the preparation, approval, and distribution of the quarterly fair value memo, as well as in the preparation and approval of equity valuations. ● Contribute to the maintenance of the RMOD-RMU dashboards, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information is readily available. ● Track and process expenditures and recoveries of the recovery budget and prepare memos for the budget reallocation requests and update the Corporate Recovery Budget guidelines as needed. Ensure necessary allocations are approved; ● Act as the team’s primary contact for Internal Controls process testing and spreadsheet controls, ensuring adherence to established protocols and maintain necessary documentations. Additionally, ensure that the team’s business process map is consistently updated. ● Support the preparation of internal and external memorandums for remedial transactions and other administrative processes, including the creation of milestones for impaired transactions. ● Assist in generating regular and ad hoc reports, briefing notes. Prepare presentations and other documents, as required. ● Assist in the preparation of the unit’s annual/mid-year budget estimates; support on Work program and budget framework. ● Regularly monitor the implementation status of the unit’s work program and budget utilization. ● Gather data and provide analytical support for the preparation of the strategic staffing plan and annual workforce analysis. ● Serve as the appointed Secretariat for the Specific Provisioning Committee, facilitating committee meetings, and other logistical support. ● Serve as the appointed Secretariat for the Impaired Portfolio Meeting, facilitating meetings, maintaining proper access rights over the IC Dashboard, and other logistical support for the Secretariat. ● Support the unit’s knowledge management activities, undertake activities/tasks and other requirements as assigned and reflected in the incumbent’s workplan. ● Carry out other administrative tasks as are reasonably assigned in consonance with the role.

Qualifications

You will need:

● Bachelor’s degree ● Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience. ● Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. ● Excellent analytical skills; attention to detail; strong interpersonal and diplomatic skills. ● Ability to work independently and maintain composure under pressure and manage priorities and workload with a general schedule of work, instructions, and standardized practices. ● Ability to work collaboratively with teams as a constructive team member. ● Thorough understanding of ADB organization and in-depth knowledge of ADB's diverse procedures and operations. ● Familiarity with operational and administrative procedures and full understanding of the interactions between different ADB work areas and relevant workflows. ● Familiarity with the type of work done in a remedial management unit including tasks associated with the categories of remedial accounts. ● Good computer skills with sound knowledge of common word-processing, spreadsheets, and graphics software used within ADB. ● Please refer to the link for the ADB Competency Framework for Administrative Staff AS5.
