The Report is funded by a group of governments, multilateral agencies and foundations and published annually by UNESCO to serve the international community. It is widely recognised as an indispensable advocacy and technical tool supporting inclusive and equitable quality education and promoting lifelong learning for all. Under the overall authority of the Assistant Director-General for Education, the overall guidance from the GEM Report Director and the immediate supervision of the Senior Policy Analyst (Monitoring Lead), the Senior Project officer (Research) will be responsible for the coordination of strategic outputs that constitute the contribution of the team to monitoring and reporting on SDG 4. S/he will be responsible for research and drafting sections of the monitoring part of the report, preparing its statistical tables, updating its SCOPE website, supporting the updating of the VIEW and WIDE websites, and coordinate inputs to the development of the SDG 4 monitoring framework and the reporting on progress towards the national SDG 4 benchmarks. In particular s/he will: Long Description ---------------- - Carry out research for the monitoring part of the report: - Draft chapters or sections of chapters covering SDG 4 targets in the monitoring part of the report. - Organize the commissioning and management of background research. - Support the report's overall quality assurance process. - Coordinate the work on the statistical tables of the report: - Prepare the statistical tables, ensure their quality, checking their coherence and consistency with GEM Report products, and contribute to their development and gradual improvement. - Coordinate the work on online data resources: - Prepare the updates to the SCOPE website and contribute to its development and gradual improvement. - Coordinate the work required to update the VIEW website, ensuring the use of the latest information sources and managing the timely delivery of inputs. - Provide feedback and support the quality assurance process of the WIDE website and its consistency with other GEM Report outputs.
