It is the International Centre of Excellence in Curriculum and Learning and is valued for its specialist knowledge, expertise and networks, and for providing curriculum support services that include up-to-date, evidence-based information and technical assistance to UNESCO Member States. The IBE offers strategic advice, technical assistance tailored to specific country needs, short and long term capacity-building opportunities, and provides access to cutting edge knowledge in the field of curriculum and learning. Under the direct authority of the Director of UNESCO-IBE the incumbent will: Long Description ---------------- Long Description ---------------- - Provide intellectual guidance on understanding the role of curriculum and its relation to the other components of the education system for improving the quality of learning outcomes. - Analyse major trends, issues strategies on multilinguism from an international comparative perspective and its implications for strengthening education quality.Lead the production of tools to strengthen the capacities of national and regional curriculum institutions. - Lead task forces and working groups within the Institute regarding the implementation of internal collaboration tools. - Lead projects and initiatives on curriculum and higher education, with a special focus on strengthening teachers’ capacities on how to deliver the curriculum. - Lead the implementation of a comprehensive capacity development strategy on curriculum renewal, design and development processes.
