Overview
Provide program support to IOM Return and Reintegration Program.
You have:
- School diploma with seven years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or related fields from an accredited academic institution with five years of relevant professional experience.
- Experience in liaising with governmental authorities, national/international institutions, United Nations agencies and non-governmental organizations.
- Proven analytical, interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Experience in project development, implementation, monitoring and reporting.
- Fluency in Turkish and English is required (oral and written).
- Good level of computer literacy; and prior work experience with international humanitarian organizations, non-government or government institutions/organizations in a multi-cultural setting is an advantage.
- Prior work experience with working with implementing partner organizations is an advantage.
- Experience in working with migrants, migrants in irregular situations, refugees, internally displaced persons, victims of trafficking and other vulnerable groups is an asset.
Contract
This is a G-7 contract. This kind of contract is known as General Service and related categories. It is normally only for nationals. It usually requires 7 years of experience, depending on education. More about G-7 contracts.

Organizational Context and Scope
Assisted Voluntary Return and Reintegration (AVRR) has been a core activity of IOM Türkiye since 2009. The AVRR programme facilitates the orderly and humane return and reintegration of migrants who are unable or unwilling to remain in host or transit countries and wish to return voluntarily to their countries of origin.
Building Türkiye’s legislation and national operations around AVRR has also become a key activity in the country, in partnership with the Presidency of Migration Management (PMM), other relevant authorities, NGOs, and diplomatic missions of the countries of return.
Under the overall supervision of the Programme Officer (Protection) and the direct supervision of the National Programme Officer the incumbent will be responsible for providing programme support to IOM Return and Reintegration Program.

Education
- School diploma with seven years of relevant experience; or,

Responsibilities
- Independently lead and coordinate the implementation of the project components; monitor implementation of the activities to ensure work is proceeding according to established plans; analyse implementation difficulties and make recommendations for adjusting implementation modalities and work plans to best reflect changing environment on the field.
- Regularly research, follow-up, compile, analyse and present information/data on national, regional and international developments, reports, legislation and other relevant documentation, highlighting noteworthy issues for the consideration of appropriate parties.
- Monitor budget expenditures; verify availability of funds and maintain a proper record of approved project budgets and their revisions.
- Coordinate and monitor the financial, administrative and technical aspects of the project in line with IOM policies and donor requirements.
- Plan, coordinate and conduct capacity building workshops for relevant internal and external parties
- Participate in meetings and conferences; maintain effective liaison and coordination with local authorities, partners, United Nation agencies, intergovernmental and non-governmental organizations, donors and other stakeholders relevant to the project.
- Coordinate the preparation of correspondence, briefing notes, presentations, narrative and financial reports; ensure status reports are prepared and submitted in a timely manner.
- Identify and document good practices and lessons learned; contribute to the development of Standard Operations Procedures (SOP), policies and concept papers and support the development of new projects.
- Supervise and provide guidance and training to reporting staff.
- Perform other related duties as assigned including case management and case management supervision.
