Lead and manage successful proposals for institutional funding

You have:

5 years of experience in leading, developing and designing successful proposals for institutional funding (EU, USAID, DFAT, BMZ, UNICEF and others).
Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations, Development Studies, Economics, Social Science or relevant field.
Excellent communication skills in English (oral and written). Working proficiency in Sinhala and/or Tamil will be an added advantage.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 20% of the time.

Key Responsibilities:

Regularly check donor and funding websites for new opportunities and prepare opportunity summaries highlighting key information.
Ensure quality proposals reflect field need, meet donor and organizational requirements and are submitted on time.
Design prepositioning strategies for existing and priority donors.
Lead, plan and facilitate kick off meetings and contribute to start up workshops for approved projects.
Facilitate effective and collaborative grant management processes and monitor project progress in order to ensure grants are successful in meeting objectives.
Develop and strengthen internal processes for effective grant acquisition and management.

Required qualifications, experience & competencies

5 years of experience in leading, developing and designing successful proposals for institutional funding (EU, USAID, DFAT, BMZ, UNICEF and others).
Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations, Development Studies, Economics, Social Science or relevant field.
Excellent communication skills in English (oral and written). Working proficiency in Sinhala and/or Tamil will be an added advantage.
The position requires ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 20% of the time.
