You have:

  • First University degree in Political Science, Economics, Statistics, Information Management, Business Management, Public Administration, or Social Sciences with additional years of related work experience and/or training/courses.
  • Fluency in both oral and written communication in English.
  • Minimum seven years of working experience after completion of the first university degree with four years of professional experience in information management, reporting and monitoring & evaluation.
  • General knowledge of information management best practices, techniques and processes with some understanding of the basic theoretical background.
  • Good written and oral communication skills, including analysis and report writing skills.
  • Knowledge of, or the ability to quickly assimilate, UN/WFP specific processes and systems.

ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT

Under direct supervision of SO1 Manager, overall management Head of Programme, job holders are responsible for technical work including data collection and analysis, information management, preparation of donor proposal and reporting in coordination with M&E, PCR unit and Field Offices.

JOB PURPOSE

To provide effective coordination and specialized support to information management and reporting of SO1/ Crisis Response that effectively meet food assistance needs.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)

  • Provide specialized expertise and contribute towards the development of information management and reporting within SO1/ Crisis Response, ensuring alignment with wider programme policies and guidelines.
  • Collect and maintain timely information of beneficiaries, food metric ton and cash for periodic reporting with support of SO1 team and field offices.
  • Prepare fact sheet of SO1/ Crisis Response and other documentations in coordination with Partnerships Communications and Reports (PCR) Unit.
  • Collect the information of access, distribution, challenges of SO1 operations from field offices and provide input to PCR Unit for weekly reporting.
  • Prepare timely donor proposals and reporting with support of SO1 team and field offices.
  • Prepare Activity 1 input for Annual Corporate Report (ACR) in collaboration with field offices,
  • Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) team to ensure coherence of performance information.
  • Coordinate with M&E, PCR, field offices for all information and reporting are consistent and accurate with quality.
  • Other as requested.

FUNCTIONAL CAPABILITIES

  • Programme Lifecycle & Food Assistance: Demonstrates ability to identify key variables and contextual factors that affect food assistance problems and programmes throughout the lifecycle to inform quality programme design or re-design.
  • Transfer Modalities (Food, Cash, Vouchers): Demonstrates ability to implement, under guidance, food assistance programmes deploying the full range of transfer modalities with an understanding of basic principles guiding modality selection and implementation.
  • Emergency Programming: Displays capacity to provide inputs into the development, implementation and realignment of high quality emergency programmes.

STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

  • First University degree in Political Science, Economics, Statistics, Information Management, Business Management, Public Administration, or Social Sciences with additional years of related work experience and/or training/courses.

Language:

  • Fluency in both oral and written communication in English.

Desired Experience for Entry into the Role:

Preferable to have minimum seven years of working experience after completion of the first university degree with four years of professional experience in information management, reporting and monitoring & evaluation. Additional knowledge and experience in following functional capabilities is an advantage.

  • General knowledge of information management best practices, techniques and processes with some understanding of the basic theoretical background.
