Major Responsibilities:

- Lead the overall management and implementation of the interpretation and translation services within the HQ Resettlement team: provide strategic direction in setting goals and metrics, streamline training, and create a sustainable interpretation services network, serve as the subject matter expert for interpretation and translation services under the Reception & Placement (R&P), Matching Grant (MG) and Preferred Communities (PC) programs. - Provide training, technical assistance and support to local interpretation and translation services coordinators and interpreters to set standards for training and services provided. - In collaboration with the leads of Initial Resettlement, Matching Grant, and Preferred Communities, ensure interpretation services in offices meet federal donor requirements. - Responsible for the continued development and procurement of resources for interpretation and translation services - Lead and inform the development of interpretation training and technical assistance plan to ensure local offices have the tools they need to provide quality interpretation. This includes diverse training and dissemination practices for adult learners. - Present trends and address shifting language needs across the network to assist them in improving outcomes. Conduct data analysis and present information to program leads. - Develop written standards for interpretation services for the R&P, MG and PC in alignment with CLAS and AAP standards. - Responsible for the development and implementation of training material geared to both interpreters and to staff who work with interpreters. - Contribute interpretation standards to the monitoring framework including alignment with CLAS and AAP practices. - Assist in monitoring of local offices for compliance with program guidelines in relation to interpretation; conduct data analysis of interpretations services and potential gaps. - Develops interpretation and translation guidance for Resettlement team grant programs based on review of program guidelines, analysis of monitoring results, and other changes in coordination with Resettlement team leads.

Job Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree or; - Minimum five years progressive non-profit experience, preferably with experience in resettlement services. - Relevant professional experience in leading and designing interpretation programs, minimum of 2-4 years’ experience strongly preferred.

Preferred experience & skills:

- Demonstrated knowledge of US Refugee Resettlement Programs; - Demonstrated experience with training adult learners - Demonstrated knowledge in the usage and analysis of data

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as, an overall ability to be clear and concise in all communications. - Strong analytic problem-solving skills. - Ability to work both independently and in a dynamic, cross-functional global team structure. - Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels

- Strong relationship building, diplomacy, and networking skills; ability to effectively build internal and external relationships. - Demonstrated success working and communicating effectively in a multi-cultural environment. Self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills combined with the proven ability to prioritize and manage time effectively. - Attention to detail and accuracy in work product. - Fluent in English, both spoken and written; proficiency in language(s) spoken by client group is desired. - Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook); ability to use the internet and other digital tools for data entry, data analysis, research, and problem-solving purposes.

Working Environment:

- A combination of standard office environment, remote work, and ‘field’ time within the service delivery area to perform the above outlined responsibilities. - This role may require working remotely full or part time and part time remote employees may be required to share workspace. - May require occasional weekend and/or evening work - Up to 25% of domestic travel as needed.

Compensation: Posted pay ranges apply to US-based candidates. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience and skills relative to the defined job requirement
