You have:

  • Minimum 5-7 years of senior project management experience in the education sector in Afghanistan
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, master’s degree is preferable
  • Experience with community-based education and education formal system support
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent communication skills in Pashto, Dari and English
  • Willing to travel and conduct field visits regularly

Job Description

- Overseeing the AQBE implementation for IRC’s 3 implementing partners in 6 provinces; - The SPM will support on partners capacity assessment, developing capacity building plan for the partners based on the gaps and continuously capacity building them to ensure they are effective on all aspects of project delivery. - He will be responsible for enhancing and fostering collaborations between local partners, IRC and other stakeholders through facilitating regular communications platforms, organizing partner meetings and also promoting knowledge sharing. - Ensuring IRC’s 3 national partners are on track with progress against targets, and that mitigation plans are developed with partners to course correct; - Preparing reports and providing written updates to the DCOP and SEC-IRC - Ensuring that the senior management is updated on all program implementation successes and challenges on a regular basis; - Ensuring that implementing partners are provided with the technical and implementation support required to deliver AQBE programming at provincial level - Supporting project management related capacity building for IRC’s 3 national AQBE partners

Qualifications

- Minimum 5-7 years of senior project management experience in the education sector in Afghanistan - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, master’s degree is preferable. - Experience with community-based education and education formal system support - Excellent communication and coordination skills - Excellent communication skills in Pashto, Dari and English. - Wiling to travel and conduct field visits regularly.
