Manage the child protection team and ensure coordination of interventions.

You have:

  • At least 3 years’ experience within a development organisation, and at least two years’ experience in a management position.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline such as social science, anthropology or development studies or any other relevant department.
  • Experience working in child protection programmes.
  • Experience in interviewing and reporting on development works.
  • Experience in documenting, analysing and summarising qualitative data.
  • Experience in providing/facilitating training, meeting.
  • Has a good working knowledge of using MS Office, and the internet.

The Opportunity The Senior Officer- Protection, has the responsibility for managing Save the Children’s child protection team and all associated activities in a specific area or zone, acting as the key field-level representative of Save the Children in the location. This includes supervising the team in the assessment, coordination, implementation, and monitoring and evaluation of the child protection intervention, and ensuring coordination between case management services, MPCAC and activities, formation & follow-up activities of adolescents’ clubs and community-based child protection to deliver one integrated child protection system, in coordination with other agencies. S/he is also responsible for providing technical support, documenting all events, programme learning, and ensuring logistics requests are raised promptly.
